The Frank and Oscarene Braden Legacy Scholarship was created to honor the lives and legacy of Frank and Oscarene Braden, visionary entrepreneurs and pillars in the North Houston community. Though neither had a formal college education, Frank and Oscarene Braden built thriving businesses from the ground up through hard work, determination, and an unshakable belief in creating opportunity for others. Through their business ventures, they provided countless jobs and supported families across the community.

hile they didn’t attend college themselves, they instilled in their grandchildren the importance of education, not only as a personal achievement but as a powerful tool for building a better future. They also lived by the belief that success should be shared, pouring back into their community at every opportunity. The scholarship that bears their name continues this legacy, empowering the next generation of leaders, dreamers, and change-makers to pursue higher education and create a lasting impact.
